Biography
Tasha is the Academic Program Coordinator and Academic Advisor for the Department of Gender & Women's Studies. She has been advising for more than 11 years at the university, and as the Academic Program Coordinator, she informs an integral part of administrative staff.
Tasha is a two-time alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She earned her first Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Latino Studies and her doctorate in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership; where her concentration was Social Sciences and Education Policy. Some of her broader academic interests include sense of belonging, career development, curriculum, social justice, Latino studies, education, and she really enjoys studying intersections of various other subject areas.
She looks forward to meeting students and advising them on their academic careers and future aspirations. "I look forward to being your advisor at a university that was a catalyst to my own success!"
