The Gloria E. Anzaldúa Book Prize is awarded by the National Women's Studies Association and recognizes groundbreaking monographs in women's studies that make significant and multicultural feminist contributions to women of color and transnational scholarship. During the selections for the year 2021, the prize was awarded to Dr. Ghassan Moussawi for his book titled Disruptive Situations: Fractal Orientalism and Queer Strategies in Beirut (Temple University Press, 2020). His critical and insightful contribution to the expansion of transnational sexuality studies and queer theory demonstrates his clear devotion to furthering the field and it is our pleasure to host and support his brilliance. Congratulations to Dr. Moussawi on receiving this award! We are excited to continue supporting your groundbreaking work!
